Having lost my Job I sat at home and looked at my TV and couch
realizing they couldn't feed me or pay bill who was sure to come
by. Thus it was with serious passion that I decided to look at
exactly what the word of God had to say about money . Out of this
pursuit came my first video production called "The Windows
of Heaven " and later ,much more seamless video graphically
"Tool ,Test & Testimony"
In my Spirit I knew Malaci 3 to have had reference to money
and tithes and this was where I started. Not to miss any thing
or to be utilizing text out of context I started from Malachi
2 and worked my way through Malachi 3.
Reading frond Malachi 3 verse 6 -11:
6 For I am the LORD, I change
not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
7 ¶ Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from
mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me,
and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said,
Wherein shall we return?
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein
have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even
this whole nation.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may
be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD
of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour
you out a blessing, that there shall not be room
enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall
not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine
cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of
hosts.
Its
one thing not to have money but quite a different battleground
to be cursed: In reflection I can even remember days when with
a pocket full of money I sat in my sports car , windows rolled
up feeling empty as I watched simple people walking and talking
and seeming not to have a care.
In any event our text here I believe
is understandable to anyone desiring to know- God here links Blessing
to tithing ie Tithe ~ a tenth ....of your seed or earnings or wages or profits
that BELONGS to God (how else could you rob God if it wasn't
belonging to Him ) The challenge -to every man is to prove or
test God if by tithing you will not experience abundant blessing
way over and above the tithe. I am convinced by vision and experience
that whatever wages is paid you ( weather by employment or self-employment)
is often "a drop in the bucket" matter of fact only
just seed to be planted and harvested--and it is only the open
windows of Heaven's out pour that becomes tangibly meaningful
or visually impactive. Bring ye all
the tithes into the storehouse---- Two important premises
I'd like to mention are 1) the storehouse unlike what many preachers would
tell you is not just the local church ( though the local church
is definitely part of the storehouse) but Gods Kingdom anywhere(ie
television ministry, the starving person on the corner, the destitute
widow, a mother, a father) and 2) Obedience is better than sacrifice --meaning
to say God will actually tell you how much to give and where to
give.
An interesting concept that I've heard
that seems hard to argue with is ----"You only keep what
you give away"----also when some people say they are so strapped
financially that they can't afford to tithe......my response is
that seems to me they can't afford not to tithe.
The tithe or tenth is a good launch
pad for appropriating your income in a percentage form (budget)
ie. 5%-savings , 25% for rent /mortgage. income tax 25%, transportation15%
, food 10% etc. This lends to organization and discipline which
are important aspects to any task, including money management.
Sewing and reaping (investing) is the modus oporandi of finances,
many people know how to give but don't know how to receive-this
really spoils the cycle. God's economy package dosent get you
"filthy rich" but abundantly supplies finances for its
multifunctional purpose, thus one may not see a bank account growing
and growing as children of light are too wise ( unknowingly) to
simply hoard and pile up , but rather they spread abroad their
blessings that if then accounted for ,Fort Knox would compare
as a garbage dump. With the blessings of God and the renewed mind
-one is likely to wear better shoes, eat better , rest better,
have less stress of a stock market crash, interact with family
and friends with genuine love ( though they with warped perceptions
often elect to avoid you as they do church and worship ) and overall
live in a higher state than Rockefellas and Trumps.
Owe no man nothing except brotherly
love is -the position I strive to promote in myself and others-
as its what I see the word of God saying! This has become such
a credit oriented world that one must endure serious reprogramming
to come to a point where motor vehicles , land and homes can be
conceived to be purchased outright without debt to lending institutions
. Lending of money has become very enterprising and so a borrower
often is subject to 100-200% interest over time---should that
borrower save for 1/3rd that time they could well avoid much stress
and loss and wind up way ahead of the game and curve. I know this
position seems extreme left field that any accountant ( which
clearly I am not) would scream ludicrous -so my only defense is
to state that this is the concepts I've seen in the word of God
and have embarked to make and keep as my standard --till further
revelation unfolds ( nb. I am still trying to factor in the lady
told to borrow vessels for the oil (2Ki
4:3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbors,
even empty vessels; borrow not a few.),
and the Israelites leaving Egypt (Ex
11:2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow
of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver,
and jewels of gold.) . Certainly there is a time and a
place for everything under the sun but with prayer before action
the Lord's ram in the bush will be revealed. ( I am sorry if this
dangles you but neither has the Lord shown me how to blow breath
yet!.1Co 13:12 For now we see through a
glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but
then shall I know even as also I am known.)
Work is a necessary part of igniting
finances and for those bent on a easy way as opposed to an efficient
way , often will they stray from the straight and narrow. Work
is a God given opportunity to fulfill purpose and also is often
is very therapeutic spiritually and physically. It is good to
develop and attitude of contentment where ever occupation has
you , even as you should continue to grasp for other stars.

pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
